Ash Cloud - Shiveluch Volcano, May 12, 2012

Ash cloud seen from TIR BTD data from Shiveluch volcano. Tokyo VAAC has a volcanic ash advisory in affect for the dispersing cloud. Below are the two most recent images from the region as BTD maps.


BTD map from 06:43 UTC, very edge of swath so the signal is distorted.


BTD map from 08:26 UTC, cloud is dispersed further from the volcano. 243 km from volcano, bearing 89 degrees.
