Ash composite (MTSAT BTD) with HYSPLIT 10km ASL trajectory - Shiveluch

Composite of the extent of the Shiveluch ash cloud using the MTSAT BTD data across around 1.5 days of data. Also included is a HYPSLIT 10km trajectory from the start time of the event. 

Although the BTD values are not direct determination of mass, it is a very useful tool to determine full extent of such a volcanic cloud.

These are Google Earth KMZ files. Attached image shows them together in Google Earth.
