Tolbachik activity - KVERT Elevated color code to Orange, Puff automated simulations

To all,

Yesterday Tolbachik Volcano had its color code raised to Yellow and this AM to Orange.

KVERT reports:

"According to the data by observers, ash explosions and lava flows are noting at Tolbachinsky Dol, at the area of 1975 eruption. Probably a lava intrusions towards the summit caldera of Plosky Tolbachik volcano too but the volcano obscured by clouds at now"

I have set up the Puff volcanic ash transport and dispersion model to prepare automated simulations if an event was to occur.

This is as a situational awareness tool and the Tokyo VAAC will provide the official VAA advisories if an event occurs.
