Sangeang Api Volcano, June 1 2014, 02:10 UTC

LANDSAT-8 flew over Sangeang Api volcano on June 1, 2014 at 02:10 UTC. Below is the data viewed for panchromatic band, 15 m spatial resolution, or channel 8 and RGB composites of the channels 432 and 742, both at 30 m resolution. The interesting feature, along with the eruptive products, is the south-easterly flow in the ocean color seen emanating from the island.

Note the feature seen in all three images in the ocean to the south-east of the volcano. This is very heavily pronounced in the RGB data from channels 4, 3 and 2. These are the RGB channels for a false color view. Below is a zoomed in view in Google Earth.
