Quick Analysis of Ash Cloud from Shiveluch, March 26, 2015

The data below shows the ash cloud from two different datasets, NOAA AVHRR and NASA MODIS sensors. These are around 1 hour apart. The AVHRR data shows the Brightness Temperature (BTD) from the TIR channels 4 and 5. Negative BTD represents fine ash content in the dispersing cloud. The MODIS data shows a decorrelation stretch of the TIR data from channels 28, 31 and 32, where 'purple' colors represent ash rich clouds.
