Puff simulations to mark 35th anniversary of Mount St. Helens, May 18 1980

Here are Puff volcanic ash transport and dispersion model simulations of the May 18 1980 eruption of Mount St Helens Volcano. Here a plume top of 15 km above sea level was used, along with a 8 hour long event, total mass of 7.69e12 kg and 7% airborne. The animations show the particle movement and total mass from the simulations.
