ASTER was able to provide the view below of the Holuhraun Fissure on October 30, 2014 at 12:55 UTC. This images is a RGB composite of the ASTER channels, 3N, 2 and 1. Note the ability to see the complete flow to the eastern edge, the hotter portions in the middle and the most active region the west. Also shown is the thermal infrared data from ASTER, Bands 10 - 14.
